College coursework alone does not always prepare students for today’s competitive job market. Stop Abuse For Everyone offers a hands-on internship with meaningful responsibilities that help students build practical skills and stand out to future employers.
This internship supports the social media marketing efforts of Stop Abuse for Everyone. Interns will gain experience in non-profit marketing, digital engagement, and online community building.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and distribute press releases to promote organizational initiatives
- Contribute to long-term marketing and outreach projects
- Create brochures, promotional materials, and community awareness campaigns
- Maintain consistent communication with organizational leadership
- Collaborate with team members on group initiatives and shared projects
- Manage and regularly update social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, and others)
- Prepare reports and present findings to the leadership team
- Research and propose innovative ideas to support the organization’s mission and strategy
- Conduct outreach to organizations and individuals interested in supporting or engaging with the organization
- Compile a portfolio showcasing completed projects and contributions throughout the program
- Membership recruitment and retention
REQUIREMENTS:
- Open to currently enrolled students or recent graduates seeking college credit, letters of recommendation, or hands-on training in their area of study.
- Virtual internship with flexible scheduling–designed to accommodate college students, working students, and those with other commitments
- Interest in social media marketing, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related fields
- Letter of Recommendation provided upon successful completion of required hours

INTERNSHIP DURATION:
For students earning academic credit, required hours will follow their school’s requirements. For those seeking hands-on-training and a letter of recommendation, interns must complete a minimum of 125 hours and finish three end of the internship projects to successfully complete the program. Flexible start dates and schedules are available.
