Hyunkag Cho – Advisory Board

Dr. Hyungak Cho is an associate professor in the School of Social Work at Michigan State University. His research has focused on intimate partner violence (IPV), with a specific emphasis on help seeking behaviors among IPV victims, including immigrants. Rigorous data collection from ethnic minority communities and collaboration with culturally competent scholars are emphasized through his research.

He has worked with a local domestic violence shelter to develop service protocols for those with limited English Proficiency, and served as interpreter for Korean American survivors.
