Education within a college and/or university no longer guarantees you a good job.  The job market is more competitive now than it has ever been.  Stop Abuse for Everyone offers a genuine internship experience that will not only prepare you for today’s job market, but will transform you into an asset for any company YOU choose to work for.  Classes pertaining to your major are no substitute for a real world experience.  This internship does not consist of merely typical thankless and menial work, but provides a true hands-on experience through direction and personal management. Having this intern experience can put you at the top of the list among job candidates.

DESIRED SKILLS:

 • Knowledge and ability to write press releases
 • Phone etiquette
 • Basic understanding of email (Outlook)
 • Experience in marketing collateral (flyers, advertisements, promotions)
 • Currently enrolled at any college or university, with at least one marketing class fulfilled
 • Strong research skills
 • Up-to-date on all current market trends (SEO, Google analytics)
 • Completed marketing plan
 • Understanding the importance of group work as well as individual work
 • Strong writing skills
 • An understanding of Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, Google Analytics, Google Docs

DUTIES INCLUDE:

 • Press Releases
 • Long-term marketing projects
 • Brochures, Advertisements, Promotions
 • Constant communication with company management
 • Collaboration with other interns and group projects
 • Constantly updating Facebook, Twitter and any other social media
 • Writing reports and present them to the management team
 • Market and explore new ideas for inclusion in the organization’s strategy
 • Outreach to organizations/individuals interested in the website
 • Compile a portfolio of completed projects at the end of the internship

BY THE END OF THIS TRAINING THE TRAINEE WILL HAVE LEARNED TO:

 • Develop marketing strategies for the organization, website, and newsletters
 • Support promotional activities and campaigns
 • Participate as part of a team, on shared assignments, and projects
 • Develop new strategies on making the website/organization more visible to the members and the pubic

LENGTH REQUIREMENT:

We have Spring, Fall, and Summer internship programs available.  Upon successfully completing the program, interns will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Letter of Recommendation.  For more information on program length and hour requirements, email director@stopabuseforeveryone.org

SPECIFICATIONS:

This position is open to students enrolled at any college or university. The students’ interests must lie in marketing, public relations, advertising, or related fields.

COLLEGE CREDIT:

While this is an UNPAID internship, student interns will have an opportunity to receive college credit. Contact your undergraduate advising officer for more information on academic credit.
