Terms of Service (“Terms”)

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) carefully before using the http://www.stopabuseforeveryone.org website and the Stop Abuse for Everyone application (the “Service”) operated by Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
“Services” means all services and resources offered or enabled via the Service including, but not limited to, information services such as access to the National Directory for shelter information, and the communication services such as the contact forms used to help Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) improve the National Directory database, inform Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) about shelters, and other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with Stop Abuse for Everyone (collectively “Communication Venues”).
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access the Service.
Acceptance of TermsBy accessing or using the Service in any way, which includes downloading or uploading material, merely browsing the Service, and using any other services provided, you agree to be bound by these Terms set forth in this document and to any changes that Stop Abuse for Everyone may make to these Terms. If you do not agree to all of the Terms, and the conditions contained within the Terms, you are not permitted to access or use this Service.

The Materials of our Service
Stop Abuse for Everyone and its affiliates make this Service and all other websites (http://www.stopabuseforeveryone.org) of Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.)  available for your access and use subject to the Terms. “Materials” means all information, data, documents (e.g. white papers, press releases, datasheets, FAQs, database data, etc.), communications, files, text, images, logos, trademarked names and acronyms, photographs, graphics, videos, publications, content, tools, resources, software, source code, programs, and products made available, enabled, or used to build or provide the Service by Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.), or made available to users of this Service. All Materials by Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.)  are referred to collectively as “Stop Abuse for Everyone Materials”. Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) Materials may have different restrictions and conditions associated with them under the Terms and other guidelines and rules posted via the Service.
Using our Services
You must follow any policies made available to you within the Services
Do not misuse our Services. For example, do not engage or attempt to engage in any way to obtain e-mail addresses, phone numbers, personal information, or any other private information about others that may be made available or collected through the users when using the Service. Do not interfere with our Services or try to access them using a method other than what is provided in the Services that are provided to you by us. You may only use our Services in accordance to the acceptance of these Terms. We may suspend or stop providing our services to you if you do not comply with our Terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct. You may not access or attempt to access any Materials that you are not authorized to access through the Services, or otherwise.
You may not post or otherwise submit any topic, name, material, that is obscene, defamatory, excessively violent, harassing, inappropriate, indecent, lascivious, lewd, profane, racist, discriminatory, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable.
Using our Services does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our services or the content you access by using our services. You may not use content from our Services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law. You may not remove or add any uploaded Materials or attempt to remove or add any uploaded Materials. You may not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, or any other proprietary rights of authors including what is provided within the Services. These Terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our Services. You may not use any files containing Materials you do not own or have the necessary licenses to use. You may not reproduce, copy, transmit, display, or perform any files or Materials provided by the Services.
Our Services display some content that is not owned or created by S.A.F.E. This content is provided without any representation or endorsement by S.A.F.E.  and is the sole responsibility of the entity that makes it available. We may review content to determine whether it is illegal or violates our policies, and we may remove or refuse to display content that we reasonably believe violates our policies or the law. At the same time, please be aware that we do not and cannot review all content created by others, so don’t assume we do. In connection with your use of the Services, we may send you service announcements, administrative messages, and other information. You may opt out of some of those communications.Some of our Services are available on mobile devices. Do not use such Services in a way that distracts you and prevents you from obeying traffic or safety laws.
Modifying and Terminating our Services
We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether.You can stop using our Services at any time. S.A.F.E. also reserves the right to terminate or suspend Services to you. We reserve the right to add or create new limits to our Services and these Terms of Service at any time.
Personal Information and Privacy
Stop Abuse for Everyone will use and protect your data that is collected and will be used in accordance with what is set forth in the Terms.
Personal information is limited to authorized personnel for use in improving the Service for users or tracking analytics including (crash reports, Service use, etc.) to help Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) ensure a better user experience and understanding.
There are three basic categories of information we may collect:

  • Information we get when you use our services.
  • Information we get from third parties.

When you interact with our Services, we collect the information that you choose to share with us. When you use our Services, we may collect information about which of those services you’ve used and how you’ve used them. We may collect information about your activity through our Services. FOR EXAMPLE, WE DON’T MAKE ANY COMMITMENTS ABOUT THE CONTENT WITHIN THE SERVICES, THE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE SERVICES, OR THEIR RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR ABILITY TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. WE PROVIDE THE SERVICES “AS IS”.Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) has designed this online National Directory of Services for informational purposes only.  S.A.F.E does not provide the services that are listed within the Service. S.A.F.E. does not endorse any particular service or the services provided. S.A.F.E is not responsible for the claims of service providers or the quality of services provided by the programs in our National Directory. We are interested in hearing your feedback on your experiences with these programs (both positive and negative).

Indemnity

You agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless S.A.F.E. against any and all complaints, charges, claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) due to, arising out of, or relating in any way to: (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your content; and (c) your breach of these Terms.S.A.F.E. is not liable for any violations, damages, or otherwise claims made by you or by any user of the Services or by any third party.Due to the actions of others, our Service may be linked to third-party web sites or services that are not owned, created, or controlled by Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.).
Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.)  shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on or through any web sites or services.
Spam E-mail and Messages
In the event of your or other’s access to or use of the Stop Abuse for Everyone website, Services or Materials in connection with the transmission of unsolicited e-mail, spam, chain letters, contests, junk e-mail, surveys, unsolicited messages or other material in violation of these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.)  would be irreparably harmed and that monetary damages would be an insufficient and ineffective remedy. Therefore, you agree that Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is entitled to immediate injunctive relief against any such transmission (in addition to all other remedies available at law or in equality). Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) may without restriction block, filter, or delete unsolicited e-mail or material.
ChildrenWe do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. Although we believe that help should be available to everyone regardless of age, gender, sexual identification, social status, political standing, beliefs, or religious, practice, such help should be provided so in a safe and legal manner. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without the parents’ consent, he or she should contact us at (director@stopabuseforeveryone.org) We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
About these TermsWe may modify these Terms or any additional Terms that apply to a Service for any purpose, including changes to the law or changes to our Services. You should look at the Terms regularly. We’ll post notice of modifications to these Terms on this page. Changes will not apply retroactively. However, changes addressing new functions for a Service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately. If you do not agree to the modified Terms for the Service, you should discontinue your use of the Service.If there is a conflict between these Terms and any additional Terms we negotiate individually with you, the additional Terms will control for that conflict.These Terms control the relationship between S.A.F.E. and you.
